Telecom Industry Veteran Jay Opperman Joins Damballa as General Manager of Communications Service Provider Division

Damballa, the experts in advanced threat protection and containment, today announced the appointment of Jay Opperman as General Manager of the company’s Communications Service Provider (CSP) Division. Opperman will be responsible for growing Damballa’s CSP business unit and partnering with the company’s product management team on the vision and direction of the CSP product.

Opperman joins Damballa after having spent more than 30 years in the telecom industry. Prior to joining Damballa, Opperman was with Comcast, where he most recently served as Executive Director of Security and Privacy. While there he also founded Constant Guard™, the industry’s most comprehensive program for online security, protecting millions of Comcast subscribers. His work with Constant Guard earned the Family Online Safety Institute's award for Outstanding Achievement. Prior to Comcast he served as Director of Strategic Product Development at Teradyne and also held various positions with Ameritech, Motorola and AT&T.
