Delta Electronics’ Energy-Efficient Solutions to Power NCTU Unicode Team’s “Orchid House” at the 2014 Solar Decathlon Europe

Delta Electronics, Inc., a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, today announced its latest high efficiency solutions for solar energy generation, storage, management and environment control systems will power the “Orchid House,” which is built to compete at the 2014 Solar Decathlon Europe by the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU). The competition’s object of promoting low-carbon housing with solar energy coincides with Delta’s corporate mission. In addition, Delta sponsored the first team from Taiwan, NCTU Unicode team, to participate in the competition.

The system integrates several products by Delta, such as rectifiers that boast industry-leading efficiency of 96.2% and power density of 36.5 W/in3, and some are currently powering 3G and 4G LTE networks operated by tier-1 telecom carriers throughout the EMEA region.
