PunchTab Grows North American Footprint With Key Executive Hires and New York Office Expansion

Leading Omni-Channel Engagement and Insights Platform Expands Sales Force to Meet Growing Customer Demand

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - April 17, 2014) - PunchTab, the leading omni-channel engagement and insights platform, announced today the expansion of its sales team in key markets, including New York and San Francisco, in order to fulfill growing customer demand.

PunchTab has named industry veteran Shannon Hanel as Director of its Western Region sales team, where she will be responsible for further accelerating the growth of the company's U.S. footprint. Shannon joins PunchTab from Lithium Technologies, where she held the position of Senior Account Executive. Prior to Lithium Technologies, Shannon held positions at Adobe, Interwoven, Netscape, and several other leading enterprise software technology companies.

"PunchTab continues to combine technology innovation with world-class talent," said Ranjith Kumaran, CEO of PunchTab. "To have a leading sales executive, like Shannon, to join us at PunchTab, is a major win for us and we're thrilled she is now a part of our team. Her expertise in growing and managing enterprise sales, coupled with her deep relationships with key players within the brand marketing space will be an incredible asset to our company."

Led by Vice President of Sales, Scott Hughes, formerly Regional Vice President of Sales at Badgeville, PunchTab has also announced the expansion of its New York sales team to meet growing customer demand and serve a broader base of clients located in one of the advertising industry's top markets. PunchTab is also opening a New York office this spring as it continues to add key talent to its East Coast team.

"Expanding our presence into the New York market was a logical step for us," continued Kumaran. "PunchTab already plays a critical role in the success of hundreds of U.S. CMO's, digital marketers, and brand marketers tasked with deepening audience engagement and better understanding their customers. Having a larger east coast presence will allow us to further tap into CPG, retail, and entertainment brands and agencies located in the heart of New York -- a location where demand for technology that delivers consumer insights and engaging, omni-channel experiences never been greater."

Yet the Internet of Things is more than the “things” – it me...

For the last hundred years, the desk phone has been a staple of every business. The landline has been a lifeline to customers and colleagues as the primary means of communication – even as email threatened to render the telephone obsolete. For some purposes, like conference calling, there was simply no substitute. That is, until a few years ago. With all due respect and apologies to Mr. Alexander Graham Bell, the desk phone is becoming just one solution, out of many devices, used for the modern...
General Electric (GE) has been a household name for more than a century, thanks in large part to its role in making households easier to run. Starting with the light bulb invented by its founder, Thomas Edison, GE has been selling devices (“things”) to consumers throughout its 122-year history. Last week, GE announced that it is officially leaving that job to others. While the lighting division will stay, GE will now turn its attention to selling industrial machinery and analytics as a service t...
