Trufa Launches Its First True Finance Application, Trufa Scoop, at DEMO Enterprise 2014

Showcases Predictive Analytics Data-as-a-Service Delivered on an iPad for the CFO in the Smart Data Category on the DEMO Stage

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/03/14 -- Trufa, Inc. (www.trufa.net), the pioneer of True Finance Applications, today launched its first application Trufa Scoop -- Seeking Cash Opportunities in Operational Processes -- at DEMO Enterprise 2014. DEMO Enterprise is world-renowned for launching the most innovative companies in enterprise, mobile, cloud computing, consumer, and social media technologies.

Designed for the Office of the CFO, Trufa Scoop calculates, visualizes, and simulates the impact of operational changes on working capital, spanning the end-to-end business functions of Source, Make and Deliver. Trufa Scoop applies big data technology to raw ERP data to generate purposeful, real-time information, allowing users to create and evaluate their own KPIs on the spot. Advanced statistical methods provide on-the-fly modeling, correlation of operational and financial metrics, and instant simulation of process improvements.

Trufa Scoop enables companies to improve their working capital position and unlock cash. According to PWC's Global Working Capital Annual Review 2013, companies could free up a total of US$5.1 trillion of cash from working capital improvements (http://www.pwc.com/gx/en/financial-services/publications/global-working-capital-annual-review.jhtml).

"Trufa is honored to be recognized by DEMO Enterprise for delivering innovation to the CFO and we are proud to launch Trufa Scoop at this premier industry event," said Ralph Treitz, CEO and Co-Founder of Trufa Inc. "We have received enthusiastic feedback from our early customers. They recognize that Trufa Scoop is a first-of-its-kind. We have an enterprise grade application which is productive within one week, and we have made complex business simulations easy on an iPad. By delivering insights based on true numbers, Trufa Scoop presents a sea change in how CFOs and executives will gain control on process improvement, unlock cash and improve their working capital position."

Trufa will provide a live, four-minute demonstration of Trufa Scoop on the DEMO Enterprise 2014 stage on April 3 in the New Products: Smart Data session scheduled at 10:10-10:50am. Trufa will also host live Trufa Scoop demonstrations beginning today at Booth #D26 in the DEMO Enterprise 2014 Pavilion.

"After traveling the country and vetting hundreds of companies on the DEMO Tour, we are excited to select Trufa to be one of the 27 companies launching new products solving big problems at DEMO Enterprise," said Erick Schonfeld, Executive Producer of DEMO.

Time to Value: Data-as-a-Service
Speed and simplicity are fundamental to the Trufa Scoop design principles. As such, Trufa Scoop is powered by SAP HANA in the cloud and delivered as Data-as-a-Service on an iPad. This ensures customers can go live instantly with a ready-to-use application that does not require implementation or data experts. CFOs and other decision-makers are empowered by a vivid and highly intuitive application to collaborate across business functions and immediately act on the results of their investigation.

"Trufa can open up a world of information, analysis, and decision-making that was locked behind the complexity of a previous generation's enterprise software tools and technology," said Joshua Greenbaum, Principal of Enterprise Applications Consulting (EAC). "By using SAP's HANA cloud-based enterprise analytical engine, Trufa Scoop can provide the Office of the CFO with a game-changing set of analyses on the critical issues of working capital management, operations, and waste."

Trufa Scoop Pricing, Availability and One-Week Challenge
Trufa Scoop is generally available today as a monthly subscription. Trufa offers a one-week challenge: we will ensure customers see their ERP data live in Trufa Scoop in 7 days or less. As part of this one-week challenge, Trufa will also host an onsite workshop with customers to jointly discover areas of opportunities to optimize their working capital and cash positions. Enthusiasm for the Internet of Things has reached an all-time high. In 2013 alone, venture capitalists spent more than $1 billion dollars investing in the IoT space. With “smart” appliances and devices, IoT covers wearable smart devices, cloud services to hardware companies. Nest, a Google company, detects temperatures inside homes and automatically adjusts it by tracking its user’s habit. These technologies are quickly developing and with it come challenges such as bridging infrastructure gaps,...
Predicted by Gartner to add $1.9 trillion to the global economy by 2020, the Internet of Everything (IoE) is based on the idea that devices, systems and services will connect in simple, transparent ways, enabling seamless interactions among devices across brands and sectors. As this vision unfolds, it is clear that no single company can accomplish the level of interoperability required to support the horizontal aspects of the IoE. The AllSeen Alliance, announced in December 2013, was formed wi...
Goodness there is a lot of talk about cloud computing. This ‘talk and chatter’ is part of the problem, i.e., we look at it, we prod it and we might even test it out – but do we get down to practical implementation, deployment and (if you happen to be a fan of the term) actual cloud ‘rollout’ today? Cloud offers the promise of a new era they say – and a new style of IT at that. But this again is the problem and we know that cloud can only deliver on the promises it makes if it is part of a well...
There’s Big Data, then there’s really Big Data from the Internet of Things. IoT is evolving to include many data possibilities like new types of event, log and network data. The volumes are enormous, generating tens of billions of logs per day, which raise data challenges. Early IoT deployments are relying heavily on both the cloud and managed service providers to navigate these challenges. In her session at 6th Big Data Expo®, Hannah Smalltree, Director at Treasure Data, to discuss how IoT, B...

I write and study often on the subject of digital transformation - the digital transformation of industries, markets, products, business models, etc. In brief, digital transformation is about the impact that collected and analyzed data can have when used to enhance business processes and workflows. If Amazon knows your preferences for particular books and films based upon captured data, then they can apply analytics to predict related books and films that you may like. This improves sales. T...
Technology is enabling a new approach to collecting and using data. This approach, commonly referred to as the “Internet of Things” (IoT), enables businesses to use real-time data from all sorts of things including machines, devices and sensors to make better decisions, improve customer service, and lower the risk in the creation of new revenue opportunities. In his session at Internet of @ThingsExpo, Dave Wagstaff, Vice President and Chief Architect at BSQUARE Corporation, will discuss the real...
IoT is still a vague buzzword for many people. In his session at Internet of @ThingsExpo, Mike Kavis, Vice President & Principal Cloud Architect at Cloud Technology Partners, will discuss the business value of IoT that goes far beyond the general public's perception that IoT is all about wearables and home consumer services. The presentation will also discuss how IoT is perceived by investors and how venture capitalist access this space. Other topics to discuss are barriers to success, what is n...
