MCPc to Host HP / Gartner Thought Leader Panel on Datacenter

MCPc, Leading Technology Integrator and Consultancy, Brings Thought Leaders From Silicon Valley to Live Presentation in Cleveland and Streamed Live Online on March 12th, 2014

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - February 27, 2014) - MCPc, a leading technology integrator and consultancy, today announced it will be hosting a high-level presentation for clients and registered guests discussing the Total Datacenter Vision of HP on March 12th, 2014. The event will include the following thought leaders:

  • Sue Barsamian, senior vice president and general manager for Enterprise Group (EG) Worldwide Indirect Sales at HP;
  • Mark Linesch, vice president of marketing, infrastructure software, enterprise server and storage at HP; and
  • Carl Claunch, vice president and distinguished analyst at Gartner Research.

This event follows closely on the recent naming of Barsamian as a 2014 Channel Chief by CRN Magazine. Barsamian's charter is to drive increased sales and productivity through indirect channels, including resellers, distributors, alliance partners and OEMs. Sue and her team are accountable for worldwide indirect revenue, which represents approximately 70% of HP EG's total sales. Joining her, Linesch will represent HP through his role of delivering data center unification solutions through management, virtualization, and automation, enabling users to build next-generation data centers.

Joining these two HP executives, Claunch, a Gartner Research analyst for 17 years and 44 years in the I.T. industry, will contribute to the discussion, and be available for 1-on-1 meetings arranged with MCPc. Claunch leads Gartner research into high-performance computing, including trends in server technology, discontinuities and transitions.

This event will discuss the new approach to data center management, including software-defined servers and software-defined networking, public/private/hybrid cloud management, converged storage, Big Data, and the necessities and realities surrounding a scalable data center.

The event is set to take place at MCPc Headquarters, located at 1801 Superior Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114. Entry and registration is scheduled for 8:30am, with presentations beginning at 9:00am. The event is available via streaming online viewing, and registration is required. All information can be found at mcpc.com.

"We were founded in 2003 and the way we were founded was about good backup and good disaster recovery for our clients, and for the last 20 years we've been pretty consistent with that," noted Marc Malafronte, Territory Manager at StorageCraft, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 20th Cloud Expo, held June 6-8, 2017, at the Javits Center in New York City, NY.
While the focus and objectives of IoT initiatives are many and diverse, they all share a few common attributes, and one of those is the network. Commonly, that network includes the Internet, over which there isn't any real control for performance and availability. Or is there? The current state of the art for Big Data analytics, as applied to network telemetry, offers new opportunities for improving and assuring operational integrity. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jim Frey, Vice President of S...

The Internet of Things is clearly many things: data collection and analytics, wearables, Smart Grids and Smart Cities, the Industrial Internet, and more. Cool platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Intel's Galileo and Edison, and a diverse world of sensors are making the IoT a great toy box for developers in all these areas. In this Power Panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists discussed what things are the most important, which will have the most profound e...
