Nimdesk Desktop as a Service (DaaS) Solution crafted on Artisan Infrastructure Enables Cloud Providers to Offer Virtual Desktops to End User Customers

DaaS Scalable Services Design crafted on Artisan Infrastructure provides rapid time to market for service providers to deliver quick, affordable DaaS cloud solutions with Nimdesk

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its support for cloud solution providers, Nimdesk today announced a partnership with Artisan Infrastructure, the wholesale infrastructure-as-a-service provider, to provide functionality for joint customers faster and more affordably.

Managed service providers, IT solution providers, independent software vendors (ISVs) and systems integrators can now deploy Nimdesk DaaS quickly and efficiently from Artisan Infrastructure's ecosystem. Nimdesk DaaS, RDS2, and VDI Broker solutions represent the most cutting edge technology in the centralized desktop space. Our architecture and design allow service provider admins to do much more and provide much more power to their tenant admins and end-users than any other solution available today.

"We're excited to partner with Artisan and their partner network enabling a seamless avenue for ISP's, CSP's and End-User organizations to offer DaaS and VDI solutions at a reasonable cost," said Nimdesk Chief Sales Officer, Sterling Andersen. "Our products provide options for partners and end-users to brand or co-brand all interface panels; host on-site, co-location, or in the cloud; and generate custom admin control portals and user web portals to suit the unique needs of the partner, service provider, and customer."

Artisan Infrastructure enables solution providers to retain complete autonomy, control, security and visibility while choosing, deploying and managing their own cloud solutions through Cornerstone, the company's virtual private data center platform.

"During our testing and certification process, it was evident to our solution engineers that Nimdesk has created a revolutionary VDI product, the Nimdesk Broker, and then using appropriate software abstraction mechanisms and APIs, provide the ability not just for service providers to white-label and custom brand a DaaS offering across many locales, industries and verticals. The final result of our collaboration was proven in a Scalable Services Design, crafted on Artisan Infrastructure which delivers service providers an easily deployed and branded DaaS solution within minutes rather than weeks."

Nimdesk and Artisan are hosting a webinar for managed service providers, IT systems integrators and other ISPs to describe the benefits and value of their partnership to the channel. Webinar participants will receive a 30-day, no obligation, trial of Nimdesk. The webinars are scheduled for Thursday, January 16th at 1:00 central standard time. There are 182 billion emails sent every day, generating a lot of data about how recipients and ISPs respond. Many marketers take a more-is-better approach to stats, preferring to have the ability to slice and dice their email lists based numerous arbitrary stats. However, fundamentally what really matters is whether or not sending an email to a particular recipient will generate value. Cloud and Big Data present unique dilemmas: embracing the benefits of these new technologies while maintaining the security of your organization’s assets. When an outside party owns, controls and manages your infrastructure and computational resources, how can you be assured that sensitive data remains private and secure? There is no doubt that Big Data is here and getting bigger every day. Building a Big Data infrastructure today is no easy task. There are an enormous number of choices for database engines and technologies. Scene scenario: 10 am in a boardroom somewhere, second round of coffees served, Danish and donuts untouched, a quiet hush settles. “Well you know what guys? (and, by the use of the term guys I mean to include both sexes here assembled) – the trouble that we have as a company is that we are, to put it bluntly, just a little analytics poor,” said the newly appointed Chief Analytics Officer. That we should consider a firm to be analytically deficient or poor is a profound comment on our modern ag...

General Electric (GE) has been a household name for more than a century, thanks in large part to its role in making households easier to run. Starting with the light bulb invented by its founder, Thomas Edison, GE has been selling devices (“things”) to consumers throughout its 122-year history. Last week, GE announced that it is officially leaving that job to others. While the lighting division will stay, GE will now turn its attention to selling industrial machinery and analytics as a service t...
It's time to condense all I've seen, heard, and learned about the IoT into a fun, easy-to-remember guide. Without further ado, here are Five (5) Things About the Internet of Things: 1. It's the end-state of Moore's Law. It's easy enough to debunk the IoT as “nothing new.” After all, we've have embedded systems for years. We've had devices connected to the Internet for decades; the very definition of a network means things are connected to it. But now that the invariable, self-fulfilling prop...
