MobileSpaces Announces Move to New Corporate Headquarters to Accommodate Strong Growth, New Hires

Leading enterprise mobile security company MobileSpaces today announced a new corporate headquarters located at 962 Wayne Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland. The new space will accommodate several new hires who will drive the commercial sales and expansion of the company’s BYOD solution.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience, MobileSpaces is pleased to welcome Dan Dearing who joins as vice president of marketing. Dearing is responsible for helping to define the company’s market vision and strategy, as well as increasing brand awareness and overall enterprise adoption of the MobileSpaces BYOD offering. Prior to this role, he was the VP of marketing at Enterproid, a provider of enterprise mobility solutions based in New York City.

Angus Watson joins the company as the new vice president of sales. Angus has more than 24 years of sales management experience and is accountable for all worldwide sales. Previously, he worked at McAfee, where he was responsible for large enterprise accounts, winning numerous awards for outstanding results in support of his customers.

Additionally, Meredith Freidman joins the company as strategic account manager and will be focusing on both direct and indirect sales for MobileSpaces. Previously, Meredith was a territory account manager of mobile security for BoxTone.

“The mobile app security market is hot right now, and we’re going to continue to push ourselves to the top of the market. Enterprises are challenged by the complexities of BYOD and the expanding use of mobile apps. Our technology helps on both fronts. We are the only solution that uniformly secures both Android and iOS devices, while also enabling enterprise use of any app on those devices,” said David Goldschlag, former VP Mobile at McAfee and now MobileSpaces CEO and co-founder. “The MobileSpaces team is passionate about helping our customers mobilize and transform their business. Throughout the rest of the year, we’ll be looking to grow our team with other smart and creative people who will help push our technological innovation to the next level.”

MobileSpaces lets enterprises focus on choosing apps for business and not worry about devices. While other solutions focus on email, MobileSpaces enables IT to secure any mobile app – built-in, public app store or custom – for BYOD. The MobileSpaces 2.0 platform helps enterprises create new business workflows that operate on employees’ personal devices, all while protecting enterprise data and respecting employee privacy.

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. The constant pressure to provide complete, omnichannel delivery of customer-facing solutions to meet both regulatory and customer demands is putting enormous pressure on...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded. A service mesh like Istio addr...

When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it’s important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. “Fly two mistakes high” is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Lee A...
