CORRECTING and REPLACING Axis Technology Software Joins Rackspace Partner Program to Provide Secure Cloud Services

Please replace the release dated March 15, 2013 with the following corrected version due to multiple revisions.

The corrected release reads:

AXIS TECHNOLOGY SOFTWARE JOINS RACKSPACE PARTNER PROGRAM TO PROVIDE SECURE CLOUD SERVICES

Collaboration Empowers Customers to Capitalize on Cloud Benefits While Protecting Private Data

Axis Technology Software, LLC, the leading provider of enterprise data masking solutions, and Rackspace® Hosting (NYSE: RAX), the open cloud company, today announced an alliance that enables users to deploy a test environment in the Rackspace open cloud within their data center of choice -- be it their own data center, a colo facility, or in one of Rackspace's global data centers using DMsuite and Rackspace’s OpenStack-based open cloud platform.

With enterprises turning to the cloud at a rapidly increasing rate, data security stakes in cloud-based and virtualized environments are high. Through this joint effort, customers are provided with a top productivity environment with an added emphasis on data protection through DMsuite. In particular, the risk of sensitive data exposure is reduced and certain compliance requirements can be met, allowing businesses to take advantage of all that the cloud has to offer while still protecting their sensitive data.

"Cloud computing is constantly evolving, and businesses are embracing the cloud at an even faster rate," said Mike Logan, President of Axis Technology Software, LLC. "Much like just about every other technology innovation, risks always emerge- especially when it comes to security. In the last year alone we have seen headline after headline that discussed security breaches in the cloud, or other disasters that put private information in jeopardy. Through our offering customers can reduce their worries about whether their data will fall victim to vulnerabilities related to doing business in the open cloud."

DMsuite secures development, quality assurance, and third-party testing environments by removing confidential data and replacing it with realistic, fictitious data. Because the masking transformation is executed in memory, production data is not accessible within DMsuite or anywhere in the target environment, making DMsuite the most secure and effective data masking offering on the market today. It maintains referential integrity across business lines and different platforms such as Oracle, MSSQL, Cache, Hadoop, and file formats that include VSAM, Excel, delimited, and XML. DMsuite can be used straight out of the box, offering self-service provisioning functionality. DMsuite is Web-based and its central point of control enables easy operation, administration, logging, and auditing.

The new open source cloud orchestration platform called OpenStack is the promise of flexible network virtualization, and network overlays are looking closer than ever. The vision of this platform is to enable the on-demand creation of many distinct networks on top of one underlying physical infrastructure in the cloud environment. The platform will support automated provisioning and management of large groups of virtual machines or compute resources, including extensive monitoring in the cloud.
In his session at the 12th International Cloud Expo, Dave Eichorn, Global Data Center Practice Head at Zensar, will share a case study describing how a utility services company handled the migration of its Microsoft platform to the cloud. Challenged with the time-consuming task of opening operations out of temporary offices, this company struggled with the need to simultaneously access data that was accumulated from a vast amount of data-intensive jobs. Zensar migrated the company’s application ...

You're getting pitched every day from your legacy enterprise software and hardware vendors about "cloud." They're doing an amazing job of convincing your CIO and CTO about what cloud is and how you should use it. The reality is they're defending their shrinking market share and keeping you on the legacy treadmill for as long as they can by selling you solutions that aren't "cloud." In her session at the 12th International Cloud Expo, Niki Acosta, Cloud Evangelista for Rackspace, will talk thro...
The rise of cloud computing has exposed hard drive-based storage as the new data center bottleneck. Combating this, data center managers have deployed SSDs to gain the performance needed to provide real-time access to data. However, due to budget constraints, many have turned to consumer-grade SSDs without understanding that they wear out quickly when processing enterprise workloads. In this session, Esther Spanjer will discuss recent endurance advancements in SSD technology that enable usage of...

Organizations want extraordinary results from their IT units. Today's mantra is faster delivery, better quality, cheaper solutions, and safer environments. Many CIOs are implementing cloud computing enterprise architectures to address these challenges with results varying greatly. Why are some organizations seeing only limited results from cloud computing implementations while others are increasing market share, decreasing costs, generating value, and innovating faster?
