INRIX Radio uniquely transforms traffic insights driven by Big Data into customised traffic bulletins for broadcast.  Once logged in via a PC or tablet,  reporters instantly connect to a service delivering up-to-the-minute insight into traffic conditions on all major highways and local roads, alerting audiences to accidents and other incidents as they occur.

The application's intuitive script-generation tools, offer the ability to view traffic over three live panels on one screen, view live incident updates, traffic cameras and filter incidents according to preference.  This dynamic approach, combined with the drag and drop interface, allows for easy reordering and refining as needed up until broadcast.

"Accurate travel insight is a huge asset for a radio station in terms of listener engagement and as an advertising opportunity. Trends in social curation combined with breakthroughs in crowd-sourcing are creating a rise in Big Data driven applications make traffic news more affordable and accessible to broadcasters." commented Nick Simmons, managing director, INRIX media. "It opens up a whole new market for traffic news reporting."

INRIX has been delivering traffic and travel news to UK radio audiences for more than a decade.  More than 40 million listeners across the BBC and commercial radio stations rely on INRIX traffic news reports every day.

In a Monday morning conference entitled Is Radio Ready for Big Data (10:30 - Blue Room B07/08), Simmons will examine the role of Big Data in the future of radio broadcasts across Europe and consider whether producers are ready to trust Big Data and crowd sourced traffic intelligence when compiling crucial traffic and travel updates to listeners.

INRIX will be showcasing INRIX Radio at Booth C2 throughout the conference, where visitors can get hands-on demonstrations and register to qualify for a free 30-day trial of the software. Media interested in getting a personal demo of INRIX Radio during Radio Days should contact inrix@hotwirepr.com.
