Fujitsu has developed a prototype of a walking cane equipped with Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and a cellular radio.  The GPS provides directions and tracks movement and an LED display shows which way to go with arrow animations.  The cane is also equipped with sensors to monitor temperature, humidity and heart rate.  Read Original Content

Mindshare Technologies has adopted the use of QR code technology to help obtain customer feedback.  The QR codes can be printed on sales receipts, product packaging and advertising materials and customers can access customer feedback forms by scanning the QR codes with smartphones or mobile devices.  Read Original Content

Red Bend Software and Samsung have teamed up to conduct enterprise trials of a dual purpose version of the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone for use in BYOD programs.

Fujitsu has introduced an enterprise rugged tablet device, the Stylistic M702, which is dustproof and can be submerged in 1.5m of water for 30 minutes.
