Wick Hill To Distribute Becrypt Data Security Solutions

Data leakage protection means channel opportunities.

Woking, Surrey: 4th March, 2013 - VAD Wick Hill is to become a UK distributor for leading cyber security solutions vendor Becrypt. Becrypt provides enterprise security and endpoint security solutions for desktops, laptops, tablets, USB sticks, mobile devices and removable media devices.

Ian Kilpatrick, chairman Wick Hill Group, commented: "Becrypt is a valuable addition to our portfolio and has a lot to offer our channel partners. It is one of the major players in the field, providing market-leading solutions, and is particularly strong on encryption. The company has a significant foothold in government, utilities, financial and corporate organisations, and its solutions are certified by the leading security assurance schemes."

Kilpatrick added: "Data leakage is a bigger potential problem now than ever before, with large amounts of data often stored and accessed from a range of locations, such as on smartphones and tablets, on virtual servers, in the cloud or from home computers. Becrypt solutions are ideally suited to protect information in this increasingly vulnerable data environment."

Bernard Parsons, CEO of Becrypt, commented: "Becrypt is pleased to partner with Wick Hill, to help improve the visibility of our security platform through its expansive network of specialist UK resellers. A major focus for Wick Hill will be the development of resellers, not already engaged with the Becrypt solution set, and the further enablement of those already engaged with us. We see this relationship as key to incremental revenue opportunity growth for both parties, based on Wick Hill's dynamic sales team and extensive reach in the security space, together with our award winning solutions."

Two new additions to the Becrypt range
Last week saw the launch of two new solutions in the Becrypt range.

tVolution
The tVolution Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) management platform is for organisations looking to implement a virtualisation strategy. It provides a secure, yet low-cost way to manage a VDI estate. It is hardware agnostic and can be used to completely replace Windows, significantly simplifying the IT infrastructure and associated support overheads.

tVolution turns any desktop or laptop into a thin client or zero client device. It is fast, secure and can be customised to provide a bespoke solution to meet the hardware or specific requirements of an organisation. It provides security at the endpoint, rather than relying on the server to detect, prevent and monitor devices and data coming into and leaving the network. Windows 8 version of DISK Protect
The Windows 8 version of Becrypt's DISK Protect significantly extends the range of touch-screen tablets that are now able to benefit from Becrypt's full disk encryption solution. The tablet solution includes on-screen, touch friendly pre-boot authentication, enabling users to login/authenticate before the main operating system is booted, and avoids the issue of authenticating after a machine may already be compromised. The Becrypt range
Becrypt's range of solutions includes endpoint security, secure remote working and enterprise security, delivered through the Becrypt Enterprise Manager.

Full disk encryption
DISK Protect is an assured full disk encryption solutions securing data on desktop and laptop PCs from theft and loss.

Tablet encryption
Becrypt's DISK Protect full disk encryption software has been developed to protect all information and data stored on tablet devices. It provides an onscreen touch keyboard, to allow authentication, without the need to attach an external keyboard.

Access point security
Trusted Client is a self-contained environment that allows employees to securely connect to an organisation's network from unmanaged machines.

Data leakage prevention
Connect Protect and Media Client are endpoint control solutions that enable organisations to control the use of 'plug-and-play' devices and prevent data leakage.
