KartinaTV Selects Comigo for its Social TV offering in Germany

Moscow, Russia and Yarkona, Israel- 28 January 2013: KartinaTV, an IPTV broadcaster for Russian-speaking audience outside of Russia, today announced a collaboration with Comigo, the creator of a feature-rich smart TV platform. Under the agreement, Comigo will provide KartinaTV with its Smart TV platform which includes: IP Set Top Box (STB), client applications for smartphones and tablets (Android and iOS) and web interface for Comigo's back-end servers to support its unique personal and social features and capabilities.

KartinaTV, an IPTV service provider, delivers Russian television outside of the Russian Federation, to residents of Germany, USA, Israel and United Kingdom. With Comigo's smart TV solution, KartinaTV will gain new revenue streams by monetizing premium content across devices and offering new type of services to its customer base. Comigo revolutionary solution will also enable the Russian IPTV service provider to offer contextual value added services to its viewers and to mount micro-targeted campaigns which can be promoted through the users' social networks.

Designed to provide a brilliant TV viewing experience, Comigo's smart TV platform enables KartinaTV to offer their viewers access to a wide range of content whether it is 150 live channels with 14 days of catch-up TV, web based content, VOD and local content stored on devices connected to the home network (via Ethernet or WiFi) or on external storage (USB drives). It is a multi-screen solution which enables viewers to stream content flawlessly from one device to another, providing a seamless viewing experience across devices. It incorporates an intuitive and user-friendly interface with best-in-breed smart TV features. Ability to create individual watch-lists, share recommendations and interact with friends while watching TV are key features of Comigo's smart TV platform.
