Titan Logix Corp. Returns to the Burner Management System Market

EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/16/13 -- Titan Logix Corp., (TSX VENTURE:TLA) ("Titan" or the "Company"), reported today its decision to re-enter the burner management market with a new burner management system and cutting edge burner combustion technology.

"The decision to return to the burner management market follows an extensive study of the market, current market regulations, and product offerings," said Titan President and CEO, Greg McGillis. "Following careful consideration and analysis, and improvement of internal processes, the timing is right for us to re-enter the market. The quality of Titan's FGI burner management product line continues to be recognized in the industry, even after we announced our departure from the market in August of 2011."

To effectively execute its strategy, Titan intends to invest in the necessary infrastructure, personnel (management, sales, engineering) and marketing. Titan also announces the hiring of Jeff Langford to head up this new business unit. Mr. Langford comes to Titan with over 20 years of burner and combustion experience.

"The arrival of Jeff on January 21st will enable this new business unit to hit the ground running," continued Greg McGillis. "It is important for our customers to understand that although Titan's product offerings may change from time to time, our core values remain the same - quality products, exceptional customer service, and responsible fiscal management."

The burner management system product line fits within Titan's mission to provide its customers with advanced technology fluid management solutions. This diversification of products and services is outside of current operations. We continue to anticipate the ongoing success of Titan's fluid management product lines for mobile tankers in concert with our reentry into the burner management system market.

About Titan Logix Corp.:

Founded in 1979, Titan Logix Corp. ("Titan" or "the Company") is a high technology company specializing in Research and Development (R&D), manufacturing and marketing of advanced technology fluid management solutions. The Company's products include Guided Wave Radar (GWR) gauges for level measurement and overfill prevention (particularly for use in mobile tanker applications), level gauges for storage tanks, burner management for oilfield heaters, and communication systems for remote alarming and control. The products are currently used in the oil and gas, waste fluid collection, chemical and aviation industries. These technologies and their derivatives under development are applicable to a variety of additional markets which Titan plans to expand into at the appropriate time. A common practice in many of these markets is the use of manual methods for measurement and control. Due to safety considerations, the rising cost of many fluids, awareness and concerns about the environment and technological advancements enabling better operational efficiencies, we are experiencing an increased demand for our advanced technology products. We anticipate this demand will continue as we pursue expansion into other markets.

The products we manufacture are part of a complete asset management solution. The full solution consists of our own market leading products integrated with best-in-class third party solutions to enable our customers to benefit from complete fluid management, throughout each stage of their fluid handling processes. This is captured by our slogan "Advanced Technology Fluid Management Solutions, In the Field, On the Road, In the Office"(TM).

    or wireless connection.

The Internet of Things is tied together with a thin strand that is known as time. Coincidentally, at the core of nearly all data analytics is a timestamp. When working with time series data there are a few core principles that everyone should consider, especially across datasets where time is the common boundary. In his session at Internet of @ThingsExpo, Jim Scott, Director of Enterprise Strategy & Architecture at MapR Technologies, discussed single-value, geo-spatial, and log time series dat...

How do APIs and IoT relate? The answer is not as simple as merely adding an API on top of a dumb device, but rather about understanding the architectural patterns for implementing an IoT fabric. There are typically two or three trends: Exposing the device to a management framework Exposing that management framework to a business centric logic Exposing that business layer and data to end users. This last trend is the IoT stack, which involves a new shift in the separation of what stuff happe...
The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to evolve the way the world does business; however, understanding how to apply it to your company can be a mystery. Most people struggle with understanding the potential business uses or tend to get caught up in the technology, resulting in solutions that fail to meet even minimum business goals. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jesse Shiah, CEO / President / Co-Founder of AgilePoint Inc., showed what is needed to leverage the IoT to transform your business. ...

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly in the process of breaking from its heretofore relatively obscure enterprise applications (such as plant floor control and supply chain management) and going mainstream into the consumer space. More and more creative folks are interconnecting everyday products such as household items, mobile devices, appliances and cars, and unleashing new and imaginative scenarios. We are seeing a lot of excitement around applications in home automation, personal fitness,...
The Industrial Internet revolution is now underway, enabled by connected machines and billions of devices that communicate and collaborate. The massive amounts of Big Data requiring real-time analysis is flooding legacy IT systems and giving way to cloud environments that can handle the unpredictable workloads. Yet many barriers remain until we can fully realize the opportunities and benefits from the convergence of machines and devices with Big Data and the cloud, including interoperability, ...

“We help people build clusters, in the classical sense of the cluster. We help people put a full stack on top of every single one of those machines. We do the full bare metal install," explained Greg Bruno, Vice President of Engineering and co-founder of StackIQ, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 15th Cloud Expo, held Nov 4–6, 2014, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

"People are a lot more knowledgeable about APIs now. There are two types of people who work with APIs - IT people who want to use APIs for something internal and the product managers who want to do something outside APIs for people to connect to them," explained Roberto Medrano, Executive Vice President at SOA Software, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at Cloud Expo, held Nov 4–6, 2014, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

Hardware will never be more valuable than on the day it hits your loading dock. Each day new servers are not deployed to production the business is losing money. While Moore's Law is typically cited to explain the exponential density growth of chips, a critical consequence of this is rapid depreciation of servers. The hardware for clustered systems (e.g., Hadoop, OpenStack) tends to be significant capital expenses. In his session at Big Data Expo, Mason Katz, CTO and co-founder of StackIQ, disc...
